    The Liechtenstein Gorge - what awaits you

    Rock faces up to 300 meters high, thundering waterfalls in between and the Grossarler Ache river, which has cut its way through the rock over thousands of years – the Liechtenstein Gorge is one of the most spectacular natural spectacles in Salzburger Land. Over 200,000 visitors come every year.
    An approximately 1.5-kilometre-long path leads over secured footbridges, bridges and stairs into the gorge. The highlight is the modern “Helix” spiral staircase made of Corten steel, which extends 30 meters into the depths. An impressive waterfall awaits at the end of the path – when the sun shines, a rainbow appears in the spray.

    The harry’s home Bischofshofen is located right next to the train station and in the center of town – only around 6 kilometers from St. Johann im Pongau. The Liechtensteinklamm can be reached in 15 minutes via the B311 or the A10 (exit Knoten Pongau).
    After a hike through the gorge, the panoramic sauna on the 7th floor with views of the Tennengebirge and Hochkönig mountains awaits you at the hotel – just the thing after a day in the cool gorge.

    The Liechtenstein Gorge is open daily from the beginning of May to the end of October. From May to September from 9:00 to 18:00, in October from 9:00 to 16:00. The gorge is closed in winter. In extreme weather conditions, it can also be closed at short notice during the season.
