The Eisriesenwelt Werfen – what awaits you
The cave system stretches 42 kilometers through the Tennengebirge mountains. The accessible part stretches for around one kilometer and impresses with meter-high ice sculptures, frozen cascades and crystal-clear formations. The cave is a listed building and is illuminated exclusively with miners’ lamps – without artificial effects, very close to the natural experience.

The Eisriesenwelt in Werfen is around 13 kilometers or 20 minutes by car from harry’s home Bischofshofen. Access via the A10 is well signposted. Free parking is available at the visitor center.
The Eisriesenwelt is open every day from May 1st to October 31st. The ticket office in the visitor center opens at 8:30 am, the last cable car ascent starts at 3:20 pm. The cave is closed during the winter break (November to April).
